Stills from "23 Hours"
Nick Miles (David Stewart) ponders a moment of existential angst. Nick symbolically attempts to return to his mother's womb. Crying results.

After evading the Trenchcoat Agents, Nick somehow figures out that he has another enemy as well. Here he meets the Judge, played by Mica. Here is the first big stunt of the film. Of course, there were no mats to catch Mica if he fell, unless you count the concrete below as a mat.

Nick tries to pick up the briefcase, but the Judge is easily able to leap feet first between Nick's legs and kick the case away. Whew! More of the wonderfully named "picnic table fight."

Nick is later attacked by two highly skilled Trenchcoat Agents, played by Dan Mikeska and Sean Burch. Dan is the fancy kicker, while Sean is supremely quick with his fists and elbows. Yet more wonderful, wonderful violence.

Here Nick has a wire around his throat, and is being taunted by the superb fighters. Eventually, Nick runs into the Judge again, and they have another row.

A Trenchcoat Agent shoots at Miles during the big gunfight. Subtly played by Essence Anderson. Nick acts like an action hero for once and stops running away from everything. Good for you Nick!

Here is Nick's despairing leap into the void. Some of you may wonder: what is David Stewart landing on to break his fall? An air mattress? A glass of water? A big slab of concrete? We're not tellin'! Here is Nick's love scene with a fireball. What did we use to make such an explosion? Not tellin'! Hint: you probably ingest some every day.
